General

For reconfiguration of your scanner, please use the manual which has been enclosed to the scanner or download it from the internet.

The correct configuration

Using a bar code scanner replaces the manual input via the key board. When you are scanning the ticket bar codes, the ticket number will be read and checked by pressing “enter. To make sure that this process will work securely, please follow these instructions. p>

• Make sure that the „ENTER“ funktion oft your scanner has been activated
• Make sure that the scanner will send the enter key "CR" . "CR LF" oder "LF" only, may cause conflicts.
• Make sure that the language key of your scanner is he same like the language key of your key boardt.

Checking your scanner

The correct „ENTER“ key

• Please open the Eventjet test-scan-application
• Pleas scan one or more of the following test-codes . If the configuration is correct, the message next to the bar code will appear in the “info” box. If this is not the case or the browser carries out different actions i.e opening new windows, etc., please recheck the configuration.

  Please also make sure that the cursor has been placed into the input field when you start scanning!

The correct language key

Most scanners have been configured to „English“ Please make sure, that this corresponds to the language key of your key board! To check if the configuration is correct, please follow these intructions:

• Scann the following codes "Y" "Z" If the configuration is correct the letter next to the code will be the same like displayed in the „Info“ box on the screen.
